  • Congratulations & Thanks!

CONGRATULATIONS to Lowell Van Wyk and the members of Deacon Class VII who were instituted in the Ministry of Lector on July 12 at Sacred Heart Church in Newton. Please keep them in your prayers as they begin their fourth year in formation.

CONGRATULATIONS to Joe Lickteig as he assumes his duties as Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus. Thank you to Brian Huddle as he concludes his term and to all of our former Grand Knights.

  • Use your gifts and skills to change lives!

The Well Resource Center is excited to again partner with local churches and businesses to host the Getting Ahead and Connections programs and we need YOU! Join one of our teams to prepare food, pray, love and care for children, provide transportation or become an ally. This is a great opportunity to offer support to people who are interested in building skills and resources to write a better future story. Sessions begin in August so contact The Well Resource Center at 641-621-0164 or juliaf@thewelliowa.org to find out how to get involved.

  • Golden Anniversary

At the request of Bishop Amos, the Office of Faith Formation is sponsoring a diocesan celebration for all couples who are celebrating fifty years of marriage this year. This is also for any couple that was unable to attend any prior celebrations. A Mass and informal reception will be held at St. Alphonsus Church in Mt. Pleasant on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. If you were married in 1965 (plus any couples who were unable to attend previously) please contact Jon Miller at the church office, 628-3078, so this information can be forwarded to the diocese. Thank you.

  • Iowa Blood Center Blood Drive

The blood drive will be held at Peace Lutheran on July 27th and August 24th, from 1:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Please contact jennifer.smart@mediacombb.net if you are able to help for one or two hours, or if you have any questions.
